Rikon 12 inch VS Midi Lathe 70-1218VS

Rikon's 70-1218VS midi-lathe offers a quality choice for the beginning turner. The 70-1218VS features a quiet running 3/4hp DC motor, 12" of swing over the ways and 18" between centers to provide ample capacity for a variety of projects. The smooth electronic variable-speed control has a speed range from 450 RPM up to 3500 RPM using the 3 pulley settings. Quick speed changes with the turn of a knob are handy on small between center projects like pen turning, as you move from turning, to applying finish, to final finish sanding and polishing.

The headstock gives easy access to the belt and pully for changing the speed range, and the tool rest post is 1" which provides a solid support. The spindle size is the popular 1" x 8 TPI and has a #2 Morse Taper.

3 RPM Ranges: 450-1,100, 960-2,400, 1,400-3,500.
